Global Partners Program

In 2000, Golden Gate Community Health (formerly Planned Parenthood Golden Gate) was selected to partner with the Ethiopian Evangelical Church Mekane Yesus through the Planned Parenthood Global Partners (PPGP) program , which connects reproductive activists around the world in alliances for change.

Connecting Local Communities

Through this program, Planned Parenthood affiliates join with family planning providers around the world to exchange expertise, experience, and ideas from their communities—as well as funding and technical support. Inspiration flows in both directions. For example, EECMY has improved Golden Gate Community Health's ability to provide culturally appropriate healthcare to the high concentration of Ethiopians living in the Bay Area. 

Sustaining National Movements

Through its expanding network of activists, GGCH channels grassroots support. With knowledge of international policy and best practices and with new tools for advocacy, partners can sustain national movements for reproductive justice.

Achieving Global Impact

We carry on this fight because reproductive health is absolutely necessary for the physical and spiritual health of women, families, and nations. Our Beliefs:

• We believe that women should have an equal place at life's table and be respected as moral decision makers.
• We believe in passion for change, for justice, for easing the plight of others.
• We believe that the future is global and that we are part of a global movement.
